AAC Craggin’ Classic Brings Lynn Hill to Chattanooga

The American Alpine Club Craggin’ Classic is BACK and coming to our Chattanooga community on April 30 – May 1, 2010.
Friday, April 30th-
Kickin off the events for the weekend on the AAC is pleased to host Patagonia sponsored climber, Lynn Hill, at Rock/Creek’s 2 North Shore location at 7:30p.m.
Since the early 90’s Lynn is arguably the world’s best female climber. Plan on coming to hear about her inspiring career and adventures Friday night. Beer will be provided and a $5 donation is strongly requested. The dollars go directly back to the AAC and their mission.
But the party does not stop there…
Saturday, May 1st
Join The American Alpine Classic’s “Craggin’ Classic” from dawn until dusk-
Starting at Foster Falls at 8:00a.m. for the AAC Choose Your Challenge:
You can choose to “Climb the Nose in the Day,” in which participants are challenged to climb 2800 feet in a day,
or go for the “Clip-Up Comp”- Can you clip 300 bolts in a day?
Winners will receive ridiculously awesome prizes from Patagonia and AAC.
but don’t leave town after Foster’s
Saturday night starting at 8:00p.m. back in Chattanooga, Urban Rocks Gym, opens their doors for a party, AAC style.
Food is catered by Mojo Burrito, Beer provided by Big River Brewery (for those 21+) and live entertainment from local favorites Krss24 and Sillyill.
Cost is $5 for AAC members and $10 for non.
Then you can go home, or come shop at Rock/Creek on Sunday. Stores opens at 1pm.
