Comments about Yakima Racks PowderHound w/ Locks:

I like the quality build and look of these racks. My only complaint would be the time to install, and since I'll only be using them for the winter I'll have to deal with this twice a year. They require an allyn wrench to tighten the clamps down onto my factory crossbars (2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee). It's a trial and error process to loosen the bolts enough to get around the crossbars but not so much that the clamps come apart. Then you have to position and tighten 4 four bolts for each rack carefully to keep front and back racks aligned and straight up. Not complex at all just a time consuming trial and error process that's annoying with an allyn wrench.

I also find the racks take a little more effort to click closed on my skis then my old Yakimas. Not really a problem just takes a little getting used to.

This ski rack was easy to install and works great. I had it put together and mounted on my trailblazer in less then 30 minutes.
