Comments about Yakima Racks Bedhead Truck Bed Bike Rack:
I bought this particular type of bike rack so I could easily remove it from the bed of the truck when I pull our 5th Wheel trailer. I did not want to mount any bike racks on the bed due to clearance issues with the trailer and this was a quick release system. I also didn't want to mount anthing on the tail gate because it would interfere with loading and unloading dirt bikes. This product is a great concept for the quick install and removal of a bike rack. Which was exaclty what i was looking for. the only problem is the product is not very sturdy. Once the mountain bike forks are attached the rack starts to slip off the bed rail. Not a very good feeling to have a $3000.00 plus mountain bike sitting in the back of the truck wondering if the rack is going to fall off. After each use you'll have to tighten the allen bolt. Its not a difficult task just annoying. I bought 3 of these racks for my bike and friends. My buddy's would rather lay their bikes in the back of my truck then use the rack. I have installed all of the them but wish i could send them all back for a refund.
