Vibram FiveFingers
Sprint (Men's)
Product Number: 10339
The Vibram FiveFingers Sprint Barefoot Shoe is a secure fitting, incredibly comfortable "shoe" used to give you more balance, better posture and a real connection to any sport you participate in. The Sprint is Vibram's most versatile product with hook and loop closures along the heel and instep giving you a tighter, more form fitting feel than even a climbing shoe.
Five Fingers Barefoot technology comes from the age old idea that walking or running barefoot puts you in touch with the natural movement of your feet, legs and entire body, creating a better posture and, for some people, a connection to the earth and energies within. These help to enhance your grip on surf boards, in yoga positions, Pose Method running and fitness training.
Constructed with a thin, abrasion resistant stretch polyamide fabric that fits low on the foot for comfort and quick drying. The outsole is a flexible, non marking TC1 performance rubber sole that is razor siped to enhance grip over all sorts of terrain.
SPRINT IS BEST FOR: Light Trekking, Bouldering, Pose Method Running, ChiRunning, Fitness Training, Yoga, Pilates, Sailing, Boating, Kayaking, Canoeing, Surfing, Windsurfing, Flats Fishing, Travel

I happen to be quite flat footed and I have wide feet as well so I wasn't very hopeful about the fit. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they fit perfectly and comfortably! They are very comfortable to wear and work for many occasions. I play Ultimate Frisbee in them, and I use them for everyday wear as well. I just recently went on a vacation throughout Southern Oregon and I used them at Gold Beach, throughout the Oregon Caves, the Redwoods in California, and on a couple different hikes throughout Crater Lake. They worked great both in water and on land. They provided excellent traction while hiking on more rocky terrain and provided great support while walking through sand as well. I would recommend this footwear to anyone and everyone!

This is my first pair of VFF, and I've had them for 4 months now. Although they have served me well as an introduction to minimalist footwear, I would recommend another model - probably the KSO. I was interested in using them for running, every day wear and the occasional water adventure. I would say they do everything average.
Keeping in mind that I could have a weird foot, my biggest complaint is the comfort. I understand that minimalist footwear requires a lengthy break in period for your feet to build up strength, but my biggest issues with the comfort come from the strap system. Initially I tightened the back heel straps up to get my foot snug, but that pushed my foot forward and kept my heel out of the heel cup. So I realized I needed to keep the back ones loose. Next, the top strap feels great strapped down when you first put them on, but after your feet start to expand from activity, they start to constrict the blood flow. So ok, now I have to just adjust all the straps as loose as possible?
At any rate, I like the idea of the shoe, but the strap design would keep me from recommending this model. If I could do it over, I would get the VFF classic for casual wear and the KSO for everything else. Peace.

People will ask you about them. Be prepaired to give your oppinion often. They seem a tiny bit smaller than my classics. I wouldn't say they're too small, but I might go up one size.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Sprint (Men's):
Got the shoes to kayak in, and they have been great. Tried the whole barefoot running thing in them but its just not for me. For light hikes to the put in they are perfect, and they fit in a boat better than any shoes I have ever tried. Not so hot for cold weather situations, obviously, but other than that they have been a great pair of shoes.
