With today's athlete in mind, Vibram FiveFingers has raised the intensity with the Vibram FiveFingers KomodoSport. This aggressive multisport design inherits what we love about the KSO with functional improvements that appeal to the most active fitness enthusiast. For the first time ever, Vibram introduces a stitch-free, seamless 2mm footbed to reduce friction. Heel and instep hook-and-loop closures help secure the stretch nylon upper to the contours of your foot-just like a second skin. The KomodoSport wouldn't be complete without a 4mm Vibram TC1 performance rubber outsole which provides the grip and protection you need for a variety of cross training activities. Machine Wash, Air Dry.

Pros
- Already have the classics
- And the KSOs
- Easy to put on
- Feel great when running
- Komodos are a comfy fit
Cons
- Had to buy a size larger
- Size chart was inaccurate
Best Uses
- On uneven terrain
- Outside
I still use my classics and KSOs for around the house and in the gym.
The Komodos are great for walking on gravel/rocks, for runnng, and for outdoor cross-fit training.
The sole has some internal padding, and although it still has the bare foot feel, I find the Komodos are more comfortable than the Classics and KSOs when wearing for a lengthy time/distance.
I bought my first pair according to the size chart and they were too small. I didn't have that problem with my Classics and KSOs - not sure what is going on here.
I managed to sell them to a friend, at a loss to me:-( but I bought a pair the next size up and they fit fine :-)
Pros
- Activates more leg muscle
- Barefoot Feel
- Comfortable
- improves grip
Cons
- Two week break-in time
Best Uses
- Kettlebell workouts
- Pilates
- Strength training
- Suspension Training
I first tried these glove/shoes with my elliptical stepper. After 36 hours, I felt stiffness in my legs and feet. This was a good indicator of muscles not activated with regular shoes. I continued to use the Five-Fingers in RKC kettlebell, barbell, and Pilates workouts. For two-weeks stiff muscles let me know that my workouts were on a new path.

The Komodo is my personal favorite type of Vibram Five Finger. I use them for everything from work to running to climbing the occasional tree. The outsole has a design that increases traction and makes it easier to grip, while the finger aspect and thin sole of the shoe make it easy to feel the ground. Combined, this makes for a great shoe for river walking. I prefer the KSO's as far as flexibility is concerned, with the KSO offering full flex of each toe while the Komodo's reenforced toes make clenching difficult. This is the only drawback for my purposes of having a shoe that offers comfort while not distracting from the ground. I recommend this shoe to anyone who asks about them.
Product is great, had now for very short time and I have seen an improvement in my running.I have changed over to only bare foot running shoes for all fitness activities. They are hard to size properly, if you have never owned a pair however exchange is handled very well.[...]

I had multiple recommendations from close friends about the vibrams and the recommended getting a newer style with the thicker out sole. LOVE IT! It some time to break in, only running 2 times the first week in them and 3 the next while using them for walking around to get used to the muscles that they work. At the beginning of the third week they really started to feel wonderful and natural on me. I use them all the time now, I haven't washed them yet to see if it will help with the smell but by putting newspaper inside of them while not in use, I found it really helps the stench. Wonderful buy!!
Pros
- Good grip
- Good velcro closure
- Soft feel inside
- Very Comfortable
Cons
Best Uses
- Everyday use

- Running
I have had mine for almost a month and could not be happier. I have not owned any other 5 fingers until this pair and I have fallen in love.
I used mine for everyday use for about 2 weeks and then decided to run in them. I have been running in zero drop shoes for about 7 months now, and these 5 Fingers made my feet feel great afterwards. I have a hard time NOT running in them now. They are a good workout shoe, running shoe, and summer time go anywhere shoe.

Very comfortable with or without socks.
If you choose to wear socks you will find that the socks are harder to get on than the shoes.
Shoes go on very easy with or with out socks.
Would buy again wish I could own a pair for each day of the week. My brother tried them on when they came to my house (with his own socks), he bought a pair that night. Don't go by your street shoe size, you want these to fit like a glove. I'm size 12 in sneaker size wish I had gotten a size 11. That being said these are GREAT. Love them.
