Vibram FiveFingers
Flow (Men's)
Product Number: 13215
The Fivefinger Flow by Vibram is a new barefooting "shoe" that provides protection from cold temperatures and water. Made with a 1.2mm Neoprene lining and a 2mm EVA footbed you get total thermal insulation and protection when crossing streams, running in the winter or boating on cold waters. The Vibram TC-1 performance rubber is razor siped to give you that upper hand on slippery rocks, boat decks or really almost any surface you encounter.
The Vibram FiveFingers Flow Barefoot Shoe is one of the most innovative products to come out in a couple years. The Barefoot shoe is based on the age old concept that being barefoot helps your balance, your connection with the earth and energy, and gives you the ability to move in a more natural, healthy way. By walking in a protective sleeve over your feet, encased in sticky, protective Vibram rubber, the FiveFingers Flow stimulates the muscles in your feet and lower legs to build strength and improve range of motion. Many people who use these shoes have said they had a better sense of balance, greater agility, and visibly improved posture.
FLOW IS BEST FOR: Cold Weather Running, Light Trekking, Climbing, Bouldering, Canyoneering, Fitness Training, Martial Arts, Yoga, Pilates, Sailing, Boating, Kayaking, Canoeing, Surfing, Flats Fishing

Fivefinger, only need to buy once.
I'm in Army ROTC, I use FiveFinger everyday for all types of activities: running long boarding, walking, hiking and many more. Can't go wrong.

I got these hoping to start "barefoot" running in winter. They are like paying for 5 years of calluses and are wonderful in that regard. As for warmth the only thing that fixes my usually cold feet is a workout, not this neoprene or the wool toe socks I just got too. One thing all should know is the thin rubber sole of these shoes attaches immediately to neoprene between the toes. This is great for dexterity, but there can just be a sheen of water on pavement and your toes will start to get wet. Wool socks are a must in the Pacific Northwest and unfortunately they can't be too thick. I don't think many people could make this shoe work all day everyday in wet weather.
Heed the advice and give yourself ample time to let your body adapt to the once natural movement or you'll be sitting on the sideline waiting even longer to get back to par. On the first pair I ordered the rubber from a toe started coming apart from the neoprene not a week into light use. Rock Creek took them back and made it right.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Flow (Men's):
really, the flow's are great... except that they are difficult to strap on and have them feel "on" and not loose like the back of a flip flop. the big toe has some extra material from the seam that makes an impression on the front of my big toes, at times it is completely unnoticeable but other times it is just awful.
the style are great, they go with almost everything. the gripping ability of the shoe is just awesome against flat surfaces. tried climbing a tree with them and they were just terrible for that. tely unnoticeable but other times it is just awful.
the style of them are great, they go with almost everything. they take time to get used to with the fact that they don't have much cushion. other than those things they are really great.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Flow (Men's):
This particular product is particularly wonderful in terms of stabilizing and strenthening the feet like no other shoe. I used to train everything but running, because I was bored by it. The feeling of texture beneath my feet changed the whole thing and I'm still enjoying it to the fullest after 2 years of FiveFinger use.
Only con is this particular pair was a bit narrow for my feet and took some getting used to.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Flow (Men's):
I got these as a gift and was skeptical at 1st. I'm a professional chef and stand on my feet for 10+ hours a day and my current clogs were causing me tremendous pain. After easing myself into wearing these I can say my feet, legs, and back feel better than ever. It's an added bonus that I can wear these when I hit the trail or the gym. Just what I like a multi-function shoe that does what it says.

I got these shoes to kayak in and they work great! I recommend wearing them around the house every now and then before going out in them for a long time to allow your feet to get use to the feel of them.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Flow (Men's):
I use the 5s for running & resistance training. Great shoes once you get use to them, but my first pair developed a tear along the seam in the left shoe within 5 months. Even though that was disappointing, I didn't even consider another shoe brand. Love the 5s and I'm hooked on them. Recommend them to all my friends.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Flow (Men's):
I couldn't tell if the shoe needed breaking in or if my feet did, but after two weeks of wear I really began enjoying these shoes. They are not great on concrete or asphalt for normal wear. I'm not a runner so i cannot say whether running on these surfaces is any better than walking. I've had trouble with bunions on my big toes and these shoes have helped alleviate that pain. These shoes are too soft-soled to cycle in. I'm happy with my purchase, but these shoes have limited use.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Flow (Men's):
every day , warn at the office, and in the canoe, have not tried on my bike yet, but they are the most comfortable thing i have every worn on my feet. They are warm on cold days , no need for socks, hard to get on at first, but after worn three to four times, feet slip right in.I now own two pair, the second is a different style, more for the rugged trails and running, more for water sports in the summer. I have had trouble with the nervers on bottom of my feet after cemo treatments, but both of these 5fingers have really HELPED me with this problem, I will never wear a pair of wadders fishing again !

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Flow (Men's):
I was skeptical about fit and comfort but tried them anyway. These shoes are a great innovation and well, fit like a glove. I was worried about jamming a toe at first, but there is enough rubber at the tips to prevent this. Walking on gravel is painless because the soles are just thick enough. I wore them in 40 degree temps and my feet were warm. I wish they were ankle high for cold conditions since I can't wear socks in them. I plan to buy another style of five fingers for a second pair. I really like them!
