Vibram FiveFingers
Classic (Men's)
Product Number: 10308
The Vibram FiveFingers Classic Barefoot Shoe is one of the most innovative products to come out in a couple years. The Barefoot shoe is based on the age old concept that being barefoot helps your balance, your connection with the earth and energy, and gives you the ability to move in a more natural, healthy way.
By walking in a protective sleeve over your feet, encased in sticky, protective Vibram rubber, the FiveFingers Classic stimulates the muscles in your feet and lower legs to build strength and improve range of motion. Many people who use these shoes have said they had a better sense of balance, greater agility, and visibly improved posture.
Constructed with a non marking Vibram TC1 performance rubber sole, and a thin abrasion resistant stretch polyamide fabric that fits low on the foot for comfort and quick drying.
The Classics are made for people who like travel, Method running, ChiRunning, Light Trekking, Yoga, Pilates, Sailing and Boating.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Classic (Men's):
I bought these to wear in the house only. I have 3 pairs of Vibram's (KSO's, Treksports, Classics) and try not to wear shoes in the house, but I like having something on my feet. So I got these to wear basically as slippers. It took some time to find the right fit as they used a draw cord to tighten them up on your foot. At first I thought I'd be sending them back, but now that I've found the right fit, they are quickly becoming my favorite of the 3. They are very comfortable and help to relieve the pain and stifnness in my feet. I like them so much now, that I may just get another pair that I can wear outside as well. Well worth the purchase!

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Classic (Men's):
I own three pairs of Vibram's five finger shoes (KSO's, Treksports, and the Classics). It took me a while to find a comfort level for the Classics. They have a draw cord on the back of them which first bugged me to death. It takes a while to find the right tightness with the draw cord to to get that right fit. But once I found it, I absolutely love these shoes. I wear them in the house only. I try not to wear shoes in the house, but I like having something on my feet, so these are basically my slippers. Just like the other Vibrams I have, these help work the feet and legs, so they have relieved a lot of pain and stiffness for me. They are incredibly comfortable and I may end up getting another pair that I can wear outside. They are quickly becoming my favorite of the three styles that I own, although I don't think I'd wear them for any serious activity. For me, they are great for casual use!! Well worth the purchase.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Classic (Men's):
I have used the Five Finger Classics for two 5Ks on pavement and that was fairly uncomfortable because of the lack of padding. I worked around this by running in the grass whenever possible. The 2nd time, I believe my feet were more tolerant, but time will tell if they keep acclimating. On a MUCH more positive note, I used them to run the local Warrior Dash and they rocked! While everyone with running shoes fought the muddy sections, I breezed through them. Never once did I lose my shoes and I always felt I had great feel for the trail's slippery surfaces. I never stepped on a rock that hurt. It was beautiful. I look forward to using them again this year for the Virginia Warrior Dash, Quantico's Run Amuck, the Merrell Down and Dirty and the Tough Mudder!

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Classic (Men's):
My first pair if Five Fingers was the KSO and they still slightly beat the Classics in the way of comfort, but not by much. I would however take the Classics over the KSO overall due to ease of getting on and still very comfortable. The fit was just right (one size up from the KSO). All in all my new favorite pair of shoes.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Classic (Men's):
I was not not sure about them, but I decided to take a chance on them. I'm glad I did. They take some getting used to especially before you try to run in them. The one real downside I found is the tab on the back rubs me raw but only when I run in them. I would recommend going to a store to try them on first or buy two pairs and return one. Also, if not sure on size buy both at the same time cause I bought 1 and then went back to get a different size and it was now a 3 week back order. When I bought it the first time there was no back order on any size or color. I did the measurement thing to find out my size and and I was in between a 41 and 42 so I went up to a 42. They did not fit so I bought a 43. [...]

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Classic (Men's):
I have high hopes for these as I have a history of knee and foot problems. The first 2 weeks were fine. Then, my right Achilles tendon started bothering me. I'll be in regular shoes for a couple of weeks, then, try five fingers again.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Classic (Men's):
Overall these are very comfortable footwear, and I find myself being more conscientious about my walking. I love having breathing room for my toes, and I love feeling different surfaces beneath my feet -- I consistently wander off pavement if there's a grassy path I can walk on. (It's great when a dandelion, or similar, gets caught between my toes: my own little movable bouquet.)
I was never expecting that my shoes would garner so much attention from strangers, but most people are genuinely intrigued. Prepare to get a range of questions!
My only complaint is the pull-strap that is located at the back of the shoe (by the Achilles heel). The elastic strap seems to constantly be moving, and the clasping mechanism doesn't seem to secure very well. It's a minor annoyance overall, but one I wasn't expecting.
