Vibram FiveFingers
Bikila (Men's)
Product Number: 21877
Unlike any running shoe on the market today, the Bikila is a breakthrough product that encourages a more natural, healthier and more efficient forefoot strike. While many folks have been running in their FiveFingers for years, the Bakila is the first model designed specifically for a more natural running experience.
Built on an entirely new platform, the Bikila features a Dri-Lex covered 3mm polyurethane insole (thickest under the ball) and a 4m anatomical pod outsole design that offers more planting protection, and distributes forefoot impact without compromising important ground feedback essential to a proper forefoot strike running form.
A more athletic padded collar and topline, a single hook-and-loop closure, 3mm reflective surfaces and tear resistant TPU toe protection finish off this breakthrough design.

Which Vibram FiveFingers Bikila running shoe is right for you? Comparing the Bikila & Bikila LS
"For those of us with regular, “average feet,” which Vibram FiveFingers Bikila is the right choice? Is the Bikila LS a specialty model for particular foot types, or do the laces represent an across-the-board upgrade from the Bikila? For runners transitioning from traditional running shoes, laces are certainly familiar, but are they a benefit? ..."

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Bikila (Men's):
Great minimalist shoe. This is my 2nd pair of Bikilas after running over 1K miles of road/treadmill running on my first pair. I have 6 other pairs of those Five fingers as well because I am a proponent of the benefits of minimalist shoe, not just for active use but for everyday use as well.
If you have never run in minimalist shoes before, take the advice of starting off slowy. Not just pace but distance as well. After a month is when I found myself being able to run the speed and distances that I want with no pain or injury to date (unlike "normal" running shoes).
One last thing - the looks you get from people alone are worth wearing toe shoes. Ha!

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Bikila (Men's):
This shoe is awesome for anyone that wants a shoe with freedom and traction. Not a house shoe, but a shoe to wear around the house, yard, and outside. I love them. I will no longer wear other shoes if I can help it.

First attempt at barefoot shoes and these are sensational. Lots of comments and questions so they will be noticed. Great shoes - will never buy traditional running shoes again.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Bikila (Men's):
Using to train and run a marathon. Excellent product with minimal or none injury to foot. With heavy heels, my knees, shin and heels were hurting while running and with this minimalistic shoes no such issue. I am enjoying these shoes

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Bikila (Men's):
Very comfortable with just enough padding and protection on the sole whilst maintaing that barefoot experience. Only been running with them for a week and a half but so far extremely pleased with the look, feel, and support.
Can be tricky to get on and could perhaps benefit from a pull up loop of some sort in front as this part seems to roll up on top of the foot when inserting.
Apart from that, no complaints, very happy.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Bikila (Men's):
These shoes have changed my life. I now love to run again. I played baseball in college and am no stranger to fitness. These shoes have helped my knees and back by helping me to run with proper, natural form (I no longer run heel-to-toe). I've discovered more muscles in my calves and feet, which have improved my overall strength and speed. The best running shoe for the price!

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Bikila (Men's):
I needed a good running shoe for pavement and treadmill. I wouldn't hesitate to trail run in the Bikilas, but I own a pair of Vibram KSO Trek shoes that have better grip for earthy trail surfaces. These shoes take time to adjust to, but are infinitely better for you than running shoes.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Bikila (Men's):
This is what you want if you are looking for a minimal option for trail runs and to kick around in! I often tell others that the best fitting shoe feels like wearing nothing, and this is the case here. Boasting the only 0 to negative heel drop in the business, the Bikila gives you the most natural foot strike of any shoe in the category. The lack of a midsole allows for proper proprioception, but the outsole is enough to protect you from any jagged edges that otherwise would rock your world. I have worn the NB MT10 the Merrell Trail Glove, but am glad to have this truly natural running shoe in my collection.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Bikila (Men's):
All I can say about the Bikila is that it is a GREAT shoe for running! This is my third pair of Vibram Fivefingers and though I enjoy the other ones, I felt in love with this one. It fits perfects, provides some arch support, is fashionable and good quality. I am a former Triathlete and Marathion runner and tried out many shoes along the way and this one is definite one of my favorites! All of my shoes I bought from Rock Creek. They have good prices and excellent customer service! Thank you!
