The Scenic City Trail Marathon will set the bench for a state record in trail running. We have a new course this year! The trails at Raccoon will be fast and forgiving, making for a great leisurely race for new trail runners or a full-on speed fest for those in the hunt for the first state record for a trail race.
Now part of the Vasque North American Trail Tour, this year's Scenic City Trail Marathon & 1/2 Marathon promises to be an incredible experience. Sponsored by Rock/Creek, Mountain Hardwear, and SmartWool. Participants will receive a technical Wicked Tee from Mountain Hardwear. Prizes and raffles will be provided as well.

SORBA-Chattanooga has spearheaded the development of this trail network. If you intend to run the course before the race, please keep these suggestions in mind:
"SORBA-Chattanooga is currently in the process of constructing an approximately 45 mile trail network on TVA's Raccoon Mountain, fifteen minutes from downtown Chattanooga. To get to the trailhead, take TVA Road to the top of the mountain and park in the East Brow Parking Lot on your left. The trail head is marked with a small sign so it may be a little difficult to find your first time out. After parking in the east brow parking lot, get on your bike and ride back out of the parking lot. There are of parking lots on top of the mountain, all with have direct access to the trail. If you find that a parking lot is full, please proceed to the next parking lot. If you park on the grass you vehicle will be ticketed! At the present time 16.5 miles of singletrack have been constructed. Trail work continues. If you wish to help move this project forward please review our calender of events for an upcoming trail work day, and bring a friend."
