Comments about Sweet Helmets Bearsuit Elbow Pads:

I bought these elbow pads because I saw the price (twice as expensive as others) and figured I would splurge on elbow pads seeing I always seem to hit them. I received them and they are like NBA player sleeves with a little pocket for a small and rubbery insert that is the only protection that these pads provide. Out of the box they fit snug and seemed to be ok. They claim to be "non slip", but I have 16 inch biceps and the XL size slide down to the crease in my elbow constantly... I have used these both bare armed and over my dry top. I am let down in both. These seem to be a lot less protective than all other brands, but I can see them being considered a semi-protective option for paddlers that want some protection, but a lot of flexibility. I have a bone on the inside of my elbow that I have hit several times on rocks... unfortunately, the rubber padding on the Bear Suit elbow pad does not cover the bone. I should have settled or the 661 or the Fox Titan like my other friends who are satisfied. Let down in every sense of the word.
