Sterling Rope
7/16" 11mm HTP Static Rope
Product Number: 9243
The Sterling 7/16" 11mm HTP Static Rope is a multi-use rescue/rappel rope best used for hauling systems, high traffic expeditions, mountain rescue, military, industrial rope access, and swift-water rescue. Made with 100% polyester static and a 44 carrier kernmantle construction, this rope is beefy, durable and strong.
HTP, with its less than 1% stretch per 300-pound load, makes these activities far more time and effort efficient. HTP provides better UV resistance, which is critical for glacier travel, expeditions, and big walls where ropes are exposed to ultra-violet light (UV), for long periods of time. Lastly, it retains its suppleness and smooth handling far longer than traditional static ropes, even after repeated use. Since HTP Static is a naturally dry product, your ropes will always stay dry. This maintains performance, strength, and elongation characteristics.
** HTP ropes should never be used in situations where any potential for shock-loading (such as a fall) may occur. It will result in very high impact forces. In these situations, a nylon static or dynamic rope would be more appropriate.
Note: Tracer colors in the ropes may vary.

Comments about Sterling Rope 7/16" 11mm HTP Static Rope:
I remember the days of trying to tie into or rap down or tie a knot into a static rope that was more like a steel cable. Not so with this rope. It is almost as supple as a dynamic rope of smaller diameter. Very easy to handle. I leading a group of beginners and we were using it for a top rope route. No problems tying in with a fig 8 follow through or running through an ATC.

Comments about Sterling Rope 7/16" 11mm HTP Static Rope:
My daughter and I are recreational rapellers in the range of 50-100'. It is very good for this. Easy to tie, good for using on two-rope rapell.
