Sterling Rope
10.1 Dynamic Urban Rope
Product Number: 16916
The 10.1 Dynamic Urban Rope is a specially made rope just for Rock/Creek by Sterling Ropes. The new, locally owned gym Urban Rocks, inspired us to name our custom rope, and is actually made just for gym use. Cut to fit climbing walls height and nothing more, the 10.1 Urban Rope is only 30 meters long. Leave your outdoor rope at home where it belongs, and take your Urban rope to the gym so it can take the falls you will give it.
Besides being a custom rope, the Urban has an ultra-durable sheath and is easy to clip when leading indoors. The diversity of indoor climbing settings creates some of the most abusive conditions for climbing ropes. The wide range of wall styles, belay and anchor systems, plus the endless amount of lowering, falling, and friction on the ropes create additional wear issues. The Urban is highly durable, and is made to take the abuse of indoor climbing.

Comments about Sterling Rope 10.1 Dynamic Urban Rope:
Great product, super light and does what it's meant to do. Would not use outdoors, but the 30m is the perfect length for indoor walls

Comments about Sterling Rope 10.1 Dynamic Urban Rope:
This rope may be "specially made" for Rockcreek, but it looks and feels exactly like Sterling's "Slim Gym" rope with the "Marathon" sheath. Whatever you call it, it is an excellent gym rope. Our local gym buys this in bulk and uses it for the top rope setups. Unlike the ropes previously used, this rope doesn't glaze, fuzz up, or stiffen with use. Aside from durability, this is a good value because you only buy as much rope as you need. 30m is just right for indoor use. It would make a good short rope for outdoor use in dry conditions. I'm happy with my rope, and if I ever wear it out (using it 2x per week, wearing it out will take years) I'll certainly buy the same rope again.

Nice lightweight rope for short TR walls. It wasn't even a a twisty mess prior to first use. It's not waterproof though, so keep it dry.

Comments about Sterling Rope 10.1 Dynamic Urban Rope:
My wife and I are transitioning from top roping to lead climbing at our gym. This rope is great for the gym because it is lightweight, easy to take to the gym, and it is a good price.
I don't think it's a good idea to use this rope outdoors.

Comments about Sterling Rope 10.1 Dynamic Urban Rope:
What can I say, this rope is perfect at handling abuse of indoor gym lead climbing. The length is perfect, as I did not have to cut a longer rope thus no sheath slippage because it is factory sealed.

Comments about Sterling Rope 10.1 Dynamic Urban Rope:
What can I say about a 30m rope that handles great, catches soft, feeds well without knotting up. 30m won't get you up to many crag walls, but for the local gym, it handles the longest routes with ease.
Works great in my wife's gri-gri, our cinch, ATC, pretty much everything we've used. The only negative is that I only ordered one!

Comments about Sterling Rope 10.1 Dynamic Urban Rope:
This have been a good, durable rope for my gym sessions. It's smooth, easy to handle, and is wearing well. There's nothing really I would want this rope to do better.
