As a whitewater kayaker, I have seen spray skirt after spray skirt that "you need to get wet to loosen it up to get it to go on". This skirt always goes on and pops off easily when you need a wet exit. This is especially important for a beginner. Unless you specifically need the extra durability, get this skirt!
