What’s in MY pack? Backpacking gear lists from a Great Smoky Mountains overnighter
"Ever since we published a series of backpacking gear lists this spring (an ultralight backpacking gear list, a traditional backpacking gear list and a beginner’s backpacking gear list) several blog readers have contacted me to ask which of those items I personally carry. After all, it’s one thing to compile lists of suggested backpacking gear, and another thing entirely to disclose exactly what I take on the trail. Well, what better way to follow up those gear lists, and answer that question, than with another gear list?"

Comments about Smartwool Trekking Heavy Crew Sock (Men's):
I use this sock in the Fall/winter as an everyday sock because it really keeps my feet warm. I also use it backpacking and trail running in the colder months because I like the cushioning it gives me. I usually will wear these socks multiple days as they stay clean and don't smell like a cotton sock will.It fits true to size.

Comments about Smartwool Trekking Heavy Crew Sock (Men's):
Great Sock! Have used these a lot this summer in High Elevations. They are durable and did a great job keeping my feet dry. I would have to admit I wore these consecutively for 4 days at one point and they didn't get smelly. I would suggest buying a liner sock to wear between your skin and these socks though.
These socks are a must have!
