I bought these socks to wear on long runs to prevent blisters. After I few wears I am really happy with the way they perform. However, the outsides have started fluffing and pilling, and I wonder how durable these will be. I am a bit disappointed as a previous pair of similar socks lasted really well. Hopefully it is just cosmetic as they are really nice to wear.

I got a pair of the PhD socks for free a few years ago and lost one at a laundromat, but when I saw these on sale I had to go for it. I love SmartWool socks and the fit the PhD socks give is awesome, especially for me with my high arches. I also love how on this mini crew sock, there's extra padding at the back of the heel to prevent the rub of the shoe.
