SmartWool
Midweight Zip T Closeout (Men's)
Product Number: 19878
Smartwool's Midweight Zip T for Men is part of their heaviest line, and it is perfect for forays into alpine environments where temperatures -- and schedules -- fluctuate. Comfortable next to the skin, and offering the world’s most efficient moisture-management system. Because Smartwool fibers wick moisture away while it's still in a vapor state, Smartwool keeps you dry, comfortable, and odor free. Smartwool has a natural crimp that traps thousands of tiny little air pockets that act like insulation for your body. Sythetics have to wait for moisture to turn to liquid before wicking away. Smartwool is more versatile and superior to Synthetics in cold and warm weather because it compliments your body's natural heating and cooling process.

Comments about SmartWool Midweight Next-To-Skin Zip-T (Men's):
The Smartwool Midweight Zip-T is a great base. I am allergic to the synthetic materials and pure merino wool is the ONLY way to go. It's even great and stylish in the GYM when worn alone. Rock/Creek was amazing to do business with.

Comments about SmartWool Midweight Next-To-Skin Zip-T (Men's):
I might be overly sensitive, but even though this is supposed to be a first layer/next to skin, it still itches. With a comfortable tee beneath, though it makes a great 2nd layer.

Comments about SmartWool Midweight Next-To-Skin Zip-T (Men's):
I have used this as a stand alone layer and as sleepwear year-round. It's somewhat heavy for layering in all but very cold conditions. At all other times I prefer the lighter weight versions when layering. Although the fit is true to size, note that this is a form-fitting "next-to-skin" top. For street wear and sleepwear, I have another one the next size up. I've had some problems over the years with earlier Smartwool tops manufactured in a number of different countries (zipper failures, and widely variable sizing around the neck). So far the current generation of mid-weight zip-T's seem to have better quality control and are holding up well.

Comments about SmartWool Midweight Next-To-Skin Zip-T (Men's):
I bought this for my husband who had another one that he wears almost every day. In the summer it is light enough to wear in the evenings, and in the winter it keeps him warm as an under layer. He wears it for his work as a carpenter but also for hikes and being outside. It's very good quality and the one he's been wearing for a year straight is still in great shape, but he wanted a second so he could alternate them for washing. He absolutely loves it.
