What’s in MY pack? Backpacking gear lists from a Great Smoky Mountains overnighter
"Ever since we published a series of backpacking gear lists this spring (an ultralight backpacking gear list, a traditional backpacking gear list and a beginner’s backpacking gear list) several blog readers have contacted me to ask which of those items I personally carry. After all, it’s one thing to compile lists of suggested backpacking gear, and another thing entirely to disclose exactly what I take on the trail. Well, what better way to follow up those gear lists, and answer that question, than with another gear list?"

Comments about Sea to Summit 100% Premium Silk Sleeping Bag Liner:
Light weight, comfortable, and versatile;
I bought it for my trip to Asia. Used it as a blanket on the airplane and as a liner at some hotels.

Comments about Sea to Summit 100% Premium Silk Sleeping Bag Liner:
I used this product while backpacking across Europe for two months. It is great for sleeping inside places that are too cold, such as airports. This is an extremely lightweight and packable product that somehow keeps you at a perfect temperature whether hot or cool. It is a perfect alternative to a sleeping bag in warm weather conditions.

The Silk Travel Bag Liner is useful when sleeping in hotels/hostels where cleanliness of the beds is questionable.

Comments about Sea to Summit 100% Premium Silk Sleeping Bag Liner:
Used this liner when staying at a "questionable" hotel - very comfortable and easy to move around inside it(the silk just slips over your skin), yet totally protected from the hotel bedding - there's no velcro opening on the bottom & side which ensures that nothing will get thru. Easy to throw in the wash. Will also use for inside sleeping bags to add warmth and prevent frequent washing of the bulky sleeping bag.

Comments about Sea to Summit 100% Premium Silk Sleeping Bag Liner:
I took it to Latin America this summer and used it instead of sleeping bag. After that, I used it in Georgia mountains couple times as a insert for sleeping bag. Fairly warm, very light and small to put in your backpack. Great product, easy to clean. Feel great against skin even during very hot, sticky/humid nights.

Comments about Sea to Summit 100% Premium Silk Sleeping Bag Liner:
I bought this for my father to keep warm in Afghanistan. He has used it almost every night that he is in the field, and loves it. It is small light weight, and easy to stow, which makes it a perfect travel companion.
It is also incredibly warm-wonderful in the very cold mountains that he has been trekking around. Tough enough for my father, probably good enough for whatever you have in mind.
