Comments about Scarpa Kailash GTX (Women's):

I have used these boots for about a week now. When you first put them on they feel VERY comfortable, like a perfect fit and are great walking in... at first. Hiking in? ~eh. I do short hikes in the mountains almost everyday. The footbed ends up feeling hard as a rock and my feet got sore even with mild use but I'm hoping some cushioned arch supports will fix the problem. The don't really seem to need breaking in, that wouldn't fix it. I love the look and they seem very durable. Other pros- laces stay tied and traction is better than my Keens. If the cushion works, which I believe it will, they will be comfortable and I will love them but as of now the lack of comfort doesn't measure up. Not sure if it's a pro or con but they make you taller -not high heel just thick soles. Helpful in puddles since I don't think they're waterproof. Just slightly on the heavy side but not so much to be bothersome. I would probably give 5 stars if they were cushioned a bit but my feet hurt.

Comments about Scarpa Kailash GTX (Women's):

I chose this boot because I thought it was the best choice of all the boots I tried on. It fits my foot perfectly and is Italian made, so I know it has high quality standards just like me. I wear custom superfeet in mine, and take the original sock liner out of the shoe before I put the superfeet in. I also have to lace them a special way to lock my heel in. The laces are harsh, and I recommend getting softer ones to spare your fingers. I like the stole stiffness, and feel comfortable carrying a heavy load several miles a day with these on my feet.
