I got this shoe to replace my pair of hiking shoes which I destroyed on my last trip. Needless to say, I use these for everything now, hiking, running, tennis, and even while belaying my climbing partner. They fit my feet perfectly and I was a little hesitant on the lacing system, but have had no complaints about it, it works!! I'm actually a size 9, but I have always ordered running and hiking shoes a half size bigger and did the same with this.

I love the XT wings 2 because of their great support. They are a little more burly/heavy than some of my other trail runners, but I feel like they give me some of the best stability and I don't notice it once I'm running. When I'm dealing with a little extra weakness in my ankles (due to rolling or tweaking them in other runs) or working back up to a higher level of strength/agility on particularly rough terrain, I feel extra secure in these shoes. I also really like the lacing mechanism which I have found to stay put really well and not pull too tight my forefoot ( a problem I sometimes have with laces). They are very comfortable, with a good bit of cushion, and they also have a cool look to them. Altogether, a great pair of running shoes.
