The Wanderfreund has become a great asset as I recover from a broken foot that occurred while hiking in Montalcino, Italy. If only I had purchased the Wanderfreund BEFORE I started out! It is easy to open and close and would have fit nicely in my suitase. These days the grip allows me to transfer some weight while walking up and down stairs, navigating inclines, and covering uneven ground. The rubber tip helps avoid slippage and gives me needed confidence. I'll be using this product long after I recover! And it looks good, too!
