Comments about Eagle Creek Tarmac ES 22 Bag:
I just rolled this bag over California for my honeymoon and LOVED it! Everywhere from San Francisco to Yosemite & in-between, the Eagle Creek Tarmac 22 was perfect. Not only did it hold everything I needed for a week with room to spare, but I was also able to pack my carbon fiber travel tripod for my dslr, a pair of running shoes & a pair of Chaco's. Granted, it IS carry on size, so if you overpack with tons of clothing or lots of winter layers, this may not carry everything you want inside. But for my mix of summer & lighter cool-weather clothing, it was perfect for a week. My biggest point for carrying this bag is that I hate checking bags & love being able to walk off the plane and be on my way. The Tarmac 22 fit exactly as described in the overhead bin, perfectly rounded along the top to match the contour of the bin. Excellent design.
I also paired the Tarmac with the Eagle Creek Pack-It folders, cubes & other pouches and this was the most organized I have been while traveling. I had specific places for nicer clothing in the folder & t's were rolled up in the cubes. Dirties & a belt & odds/ends were placed in the tubes. Overall, the price may seem a bit steep, but this particular roller from Eagle Creek carries the NO QUESTIONS ASKED warranty, much like Hartmann or Tumi, at a fraction of the price of those brands. If you are on the fence, just jump. If you are serious about your luggage & want excellent quality and good looks, then this bag is worth a close look. You will never want to lug that carry-on duffel bag again! Just the Tarmac 22 & a backpack for your personal bag and you will be set for any airline-based trip.
