If wind is your worry, but you prefer canisters over liquid fuel, then the MSR WindPro is the stove for you. The WindPro worked better in wind tests than all the competitors, and it is the only remote canister stove sold complete with a windscreen and heat reflector. Fuel bottle sold seperately.

  • Lightest remote canister stove on the market: Minimum weight is less than 7 oz.!
  • Compact: Small enough to fit in a one-liter pot
  • Great for gourmet cooking: Supports large cook pots and can be used with bake ovens

    Comments about MSR WindPro Stove:

I was looking for a canister on the side stove (for stability) that was as light and compact as possible, and included a windshield. This was the only one I could find on the market that was really stable and wind resistant while compact and light.
I used it during a trekking event in northern Sweden (Fjällräven Classic) and found it to be all that i expected. It boiled fast with windshield and reflector. Easy to use, easy to light with fire steel, great stove!

The Windpro is very controllable from simmer to blowtorch. No hassle canister system avoids liquid-fuel stove inconveniences, hazards, and cleaning. After a lifetime of backpacking this stove takes the cake.
