Starts with the finest grade of Merino wool (considered the Cashmere of Wool), specially selected and treated with the revolutionary SmartWool process – removing the microscopic ends of the fibers which are the cause of "shrinkage"

The fibers in the sock contain up to 2,000 porous membranes per inch – when knitted into socks, these tiny membranes create literally millions of microscopic air pockets which are the key to thermo-regulation (temperature control and evaporation of moisture)

The Merino wool fibers used in SmartWool socks are also longer than other conventional wool sock fibers, this extra length creates a knitted yarn that is itch-free and silky soft to the touch

These socks fit great, are nice and cushy and last a long time. Throw them in the washer and drier. Great in hiking boots. They fit true to size.

Great Sock! Have used these a lot this summer in High Elevations. They are durable and did a great job keeping my feet dry. I would have to admit I wore these consecutively for 4 days at one point and they didn't get smelly. I would suggest buying a liner sock to wear between your skin and these socks though.

These socks are a must have!
