Smartwool has spent all of their time finding ways to make their wool the most comfortable, and with wicking properties that work in cool and warm weather. A fully versatile sock that is great for all purpose, three season hikes and backpacks while designed for rugged trips or lightweight backpacking.

I highly recommend these socks. This is all I wear to hike and backpack in, and now I pretty much wear them all the time. They are soft and warm and don't cause hotspots and blisters like some other socks. The merino is very soft - not at all itchy - and no need to wear liners like we did with wool socks in the old days. I would recommend these for hiking, extended backpacking trips, and every day use.
