I have been Infantry and/or a Cav Scout for almost 3 decades. I first learned of SmartWool products almost 10 years ago and my feet love them. I bought 4 pairs of this sock prior to my last Iraq deployment. I loaned one of the new pairs to another NCO and he would not give them back. If your job has you on your feet, do yourself a favor and get at least one pair. You will be back for more.

Love the fact that they are very thick - I wear them to the office in the winter -
if your shoes are tight, these might actually be too thick. - but I love 'em.

As a career firefighter/paramedic I have been wearing these socks with my uniforms. They adapt well to changing temperatures thoughout the day and keep my feet comfortable. Even when my feet do sweat, these socks dry within minutes of taking boots off. When working 24 hour shifts thats important! I am looking forward to using SmartWool products in my hiking and caving adventures as well.
