These shoes are greeeeeaaaaaaaaaat. They're incredibly comfortable and stay on very well. I've worn them almost every single day over the summer and am rocking some pretty sweet tanlines. Whoop!

The only problem I had was some minor chafing from the straps when I first got them, but it went away within a week.

They're a must buy. Thanks and gig 'em!

Chacos are great in any condition. I purchased these for my fiancee, but we both have gone through several pairs in the last ten years due to commercial rafting. Used every day, they still last for a couple of years. For once or twice a week use, they could last forever. I have a pair of chongs from 8 years ago that are still in great condition, even after putting lots of mileage on them hiking and road-biking. I pretty much wear mine for everything!

I got these Chacos as a replacement pair for my old chacos that i had for 10 years, and the foot bed is finally wearing out. They are exactly what I expected in the shoe, and love them, justas much as my old ones. I was able to break them in a lot faster than i thought I would be able to.

The only pair of shoes I wear between March and October are my Chacos. I don't even bother wearing other shoes for my outdoor activities such as hiking, camping and scrambling around rock quarries. The only thing I find a slight nuisance is that every other day I have to move the straps around a lot to get the sand and dirt from off the webbing. If I don't do this then the straps tend to tear after a while. My last pair of Chacos I never adjusted the straps once but they tore after 7 years. I am positive that I can make these last much longer if I continually adjust the straps to clean them from dirt.

I don't wear them everyday but wear them often enough to know that they're great. For me, they've gotten more comfortable as I've worn them. At first I had a hard time getting the straps to that perfect fit but I think I've got it now. Overall I'm very satisfied with the product and Rock/Creek.

The Chaco's were purchased as a Christmas Gift for my 17 year old grandson. They were a perfect fit and as cold as it was on Christmas day he put them on and wore them for several days during the cold weather. It seems to be all the rage with teenagers. He was told he could choose one rather expensive gift and he choose the Chacos. Very pleased.

I bought this wonderful sandal back in the fall and used them many times on long hikes.I Ran through leaves and rivers without any trouble and have never seen a more versetile pair of shoes. I absolutly love them. When you first get them the straps might me slightly stiff but they soften up with wear and become even more comfortable

Plunked down the cash for these three years ago. I could hardly believe I was spending around [$] for a simple pair of sandals! Outrageous?!!NOT OUTRAGEOUS AT ALL. In fact, probably the best [$] I've ever spent on foot wear. I couldn't possibly make this review glow enough. These are the best; the only sandals you'll ever need. I've been wearing mine about 120 days a year for three years, and they still look like they did in the store the day I bought 'em.They're uber comfortable because of the total adjustability of the straps and the great arch support. They fit so well to my feet I can even run short distances in them without any discomfort or rubbing.I don't have to change shoes for hikes and pick-up games of football anymore. I just cinch down the straps and get going. When I get home I use an old toothbrush to scrub down the footbed. If they're really dirty, I just throw 'em in the wash. Beautiful.My feet are pretty thin, so during my first Chaco off-season, I sent these to Chaco for their free shortening of the strap. The shipping charge was definitely worth not having to tuck it in anymore.I would recommend these over the Chaco Z1's. I really like the extra support of the toe strap, and having it between my toes doesn't bother me like I thought it would.Get you a pair!

I had a pair of Z/2's for almost a decade. They survived many summers of everyday wear. They were absolutely perfect for a summer on a river. They were simply indestructible. The only thing they couldn't survive was storage in my parents basement, when they were thrown out. I received my new pair and they are just as good as the last. Everyone needs a pair.

Bought these for everyday summer wear after a 10 year old pair of old Chacos finally wore out. The Z2 looks chunkier and a bit clumsy but they're not at all when you get them on. Once you get the straps adjusted right they are superbly comfortable and you can literally walk from dawn to dusk with no feeling of wanting to take your shoes off.

The location of the straps is anatomically perfect (for me at least) and they are completely secure on your feet. Definitely choose the Z2 over the Z1 as your feet won't slide off or from side to side.

Just remember if you're not in the US, that the sizes are American. US 10 fits UK size 9 perfectly.

i wear these everyday at work. it took about a week for my feet to get used to them and to get the straps adjusted properly. but after a season of hard use they barely show any wear.

two weeks after purchase i took these to poland and germany. no hot spots, no blisters, and no unexpected problems. you can rely on chaco.

The straps constantly get out of adjustment. The sandals get loose as you walk with them. They are not easy to get in to.

I bought these sandals as a graduation gift last month for my boyfriend and he wears them ALL the time. They are a bit on the heavy side, but they are also really comfortable and durable. He says they support his feet great. The only really problem he's had is when he first started wearing them, if they got wet, they would rub parts of his foot. But now that he's worn them a bit more and his feet have toughened up, he doesn't have that problem. They look good and he says they feel good. So all in all, a great investment.

Used for hiking and kayaking, the sandals are great for both. It takes a bit of time to get used to the strap system and to get your feet used to hiking around in them. Give yourself a couple of light hikes to adjust before you set out for long trails and you should be fine.

These are great sandals that will perform no matter the situation. I was very weary of spending the bucks for them at first but they are worth every penny. Whether in the canoe or on the trail they'll stay on your feet and give you complete control (toe loop does wonders if you can live with it). THE all-around sandal to get if you want something that you can handle any adventure.

I looked at these for a couple of years before I got a pair because I'm basically cheap and don't like to spend money. Now I encourage everyone to get a pair. Here in the Southeast I wear mine almost all year long. If I'm not a work I'm wearing them. My wife makes fun of me because my feet wear their "chaco tan lines" all year. I'm very hard on gear and these show no signs of wear after three years. Play hard and then throw them in the washer and you're ready to go again.

These shoes are amazing. I would wear them every day if I could. I prefer these over the Z1s (without the toe strap) because they provide more support, and if needed I can pull the toe strap down and go without.

I gave these shoes as a gift to my boyfriend this summer. He loved them to say the least! It's been about six months now and these are his daily shoes whether we are going to class, taking the dog out, anything he prefers to have his Chacos on his feet. They quickly adjusted to his foot after wearing and they look good with quite a lot surprisingly.

i use these sandals mostly for approaches to the crags and daily commuting, both stylish in a roman sandal type of way and practical in a hiker way. the toe loop can be pulled through the sole to make it a Z/1 and i do this during the winter months so that i can put socks on with the sandals. overall, a brilliant sandal

The only issue with these sandals is that, having a very narrow, "low volume" foot, the straps were a bit too long. However, Chaco will shorten the straps free of charge.

That said, I put in 41 miles in under 48 hours wearing these, with a 45lb pack on, on trails that spanned a mile of vertical for those 7 miles. And this was to break them in! The only area they caused discomfort was under my lateral ankle bone, where the strap hub rubbed against the tendons, and most of this was due to uneven trails designed to shed water causing my foot to land at an angle.

They still look good as new, the tread is barely worn in, my feet (even my arches) were feeling fine, and the straps are soft enough to not cause blisters, even when lighter trails turned my Tevas into a meatgrinder, in similar conditions.

I had 3 river crossings and numerous stream crossings, as well, and they dried quickly and stuck well on the wet rocks.

The Chacos are very comfortable. After walking in flip flops or other snadals, my feet start to hurt. Chacos are so comfortable and have so much support that my feet never hurt in them. The loss of a star is becuase the strap used to tighten the other straps is too long and goes under my foot and can be very annoying. They take a little time to adjust to your foot size, but once you get it right the fit is great. Superb product.

These are my favorite summer shoes. After wearing out my previous pair (beyond Chacos excellent repair program), I purchased this pair. I was a little leery about the toe loop. It was not a problem and actually gives better control on slippery surfaces. The only negative was that the strap was too long. I sent them back to Chacos and they repaired them for free with a surprisingly fast turn-around. Highly recommended for any summer outdoor activities. Better than any Teva I have owned.

If I'm not wearing my combat boots I'm wearing Chacos. There's never any doubt about being sure footed and comfortable while wearing them. I've been wearing Chacos for 11 years and counting. I'll never wear any other sandal.
