Comments about Five Ten Jet 7 Climbing Shoe:

Whenever I'm using these shoes i'm bouldering indoors. Take that into consideration when readin what i have to say.

These shoes would fit *MY FOOT* perfectly, but for some reason when my foot is pointed in certain angles the heel seems to come loose. It's extremely annoying but it doesn't usually effect my climbing to terribly. there are times when I'm heeling and the shoes heel is squished because my heel isn't actually sucked into where it should be(I hope this is making sense).

Also one problem I have had recently is my big toe and 2nd biggest toes are being scrunched into each other and cause extreme pain in my big toe. I seriously have to take them off after each climb and leave them off until I'm getting back on.

My street shoes are a size 10 (US mens) and i wear these shoes in a size 9.5 (US mens) and they are a tight fit. I might suggest you drop a half size to full size from your street shoe.

Oh I almost forgot, one of my favorite things about this shoes is that with this rubber i can actually smear even with the downturn. Whereas with many other shoes with aggressive downturn the rubber just slips and slides when you wanna stick your weight on the wall.

These are without a doubt the best shoes for bouldering on the market. The stealth rubber is incredible, great shoe for heel and toe hooks. Without a doubt worth every penny!

Comments about Five Ten Jet 7 Climbing Shoe:

Ive had 2 pairs of the Jet 7's and I absolutely love them. They aren't the most comfortable shoe but who cares, just cram your foot in these and you can toe, heel and stick to almost anything from tiny edges, to small pockets, to jugs! You will be constantly taking them off between climbs just to let your feet recover, but its not that bad, no laces means you can slip them on in seconds.

The only problem i have is that they are not the most durable shoe, both pairs i had have ripped at the toe after 6 months of hard indoor and outdoor use, but its a price woth paying for.

Ive just got the new Team 5.10 shoe so im moving away from the Jet 7 but i can assure you its one of the best shoes i have ever climbed in since the v10! And if the team 5.10 shoe doesn't live up to its hype ill be returning to the jet 7 in the blink of an eye! HIGHLY RECOMENDED!

Comments about Five Ten Jet 7 Climbing Shoe:

Great Shoe, awsome for climbing roofs, but horrible on flat walls or forward slabs. If your going to buy this, make sure you have another set of comfortable shoes, as these tend to hurt after a while. Take many breaks for your feet! I wear a 10-10.5 street shoe. These shoes in 9.5 fit just like my 9 mocs.

I don't use these shoes personally but my boyfriend loves them. This is the second pair I've bought him as a gift due to the rave reviews he gives them. I've never heard him say anything negative about them...his new pair are currenlty reserved for his hardest outdoor problems.

Comments about Five Ten Jet 7 Climbing Shoe:

This shoe is one of a kind. If your a die hard steep bouldering/roofing kind of person that doesnt mind having your shoes off instantly inbetween sets this is for you. It performs great on this.
If you happen to be somone who climbs a little more versatile and perhaps want to use this shoe for sport routes i wouldnt suggest it. For mere vertical faces the downturned toe really is unhelpful and makes things quite harder. I Had also disliked the with of this shoe. The length was perfect but my fourth and fith toe were unbelievably jammed to ablivion. But once again if roofing / steep bouldering is your way this shoe is still quite good.
The recycled "green Rubber" containing the top of the foot isnt so great just to mention. It is slick and genereally pointless in my view.

Comments about Five Ten Jet 7 Climbing Shoe:

I was a bit hesitant when first using these shoes. The top toe of the shoe is a bit baggy and so I was worried about how the shoe would fit and perform when climbing. I was also concerned about the single strap to secure the shoe and thought that my heel might slip out of the shoe while climbing. However, once I began doing some more difficult climbs where good foot work is necessary, all those worries dissipated immediately. The rubber on the sole of the shoe and the down turn toe is phenomenal. They certainly give you that extra level of static avid climbers crave. The heel and rubber on the top of the shoe feels great too. Furthermore, the shoe is all around comfortable; I rarely take them off in between climbs at the gym. They do get a little hot because of the rubber on the top of the toe.
As for fit, I wear a size 7.5 to 8 in street shoes and I am comfortably wearing a 7 in the Jet 7.
If you boulder V5 or higher, do steep sport climbs (5.9 or above), this shoe has the ability to bring your climbing to the next level.

Comments about Five Ten Jet 7 Climbing Shoe:

This shoe saves you if you don't have great foot work. It couldn't give better friction unless there was glue on the soles. No dead-space and tight fit are great for the climb, but not for hanging out in. Bring something else for in between climbs.
