It is a pretty hefty rack. The locks that come with it work well. The bolt that locks to the hitch could maybe be a little shorter,it is very handy to have the built in lock in one of the arms.
The rack is stable on the back. The way the bikes are locked in keeps them from moving around and hitting together. The only problem might be trying to install a smaller frame bike, the arms might be too far apart to fit it on.
The mounting instructions are good and easy to follow.

This product comes from an older model year, but the price at Rock Creek can't be beat. It outperforms all other models in this price range for stability, construction, installation and quality. The clamp trays slide easily on the fork arms and allowed me to fit four bikes without problems. The anti-sway feature is something that others lack and is important when transporting bikes without fear of dings. All hardware is included (even a wrench for the bolt) and this model comes with the lockable pin and matching locking cable built in.
My only complaint would be that the locking cable is a bit short and I had a bit of difficulty figuring out how to get it around the frame to the locking pin. Other than that it was very easy to install, even in the dark, and is as solid and durable as any I've seen. After a 500 mile trip there was no noise or vibration evident and the bikes were held securely during each leg of the transit.

I had been looking for a good, solid hitch mount to carry my families bikes to the parks & bike-ways in our area and found the SlickRock by Yakima to be the best bang for the buck! I had looked at others that were less expensive, but their straps to hold bicycles were flimsy and I was afraid of scratching the frame on my bike.
With the SlickRock, I can still open the rear fold-up door on my suv because the rack tilts down towards the ground with a locking pin. Really easy to use and I don't have to take my rack on & off, which would become a chore!!
Overall, I'm very pleased with this Yakima bicycle carrier & plan to purchase more of their products as our summer activities & gear add up.

Bought this bike carrier because i needed a 4 bike hitch mount, and Rock Creek offered this at a great price. I was pleasantly suprised at the ease of use at getting it mounted to my 4-runner. Also has great features; it comes with a hitch lock, dead lock. That alone saved me extra money. The arms that hold the bikes colapse to minimize the volume of this rack. If you need a 4 bike hitch mounted rack look no further, Great price for such a trusted band.

This is a great value in a hitch mounted bike rack. Everything you need, nothing else to get. This is one of the best deals for the price on a 4 bike mount out there. With the Deadlock to lock your bikes to the rack and the hitch lock to keep it from getting lifted from your car, you have a complete system for getting everyone and their bikes wherever you choose to go. It's a little bit heavy to install, but once it's on it's solid. Killer value!
