The Yakima High Roller upright mount bike rack is Yakima's new top mount when it comes to putting the entire bicycle on top of your car without removing the front wheel. Yakima made this easy with one knob that controls the tightness and security of the bike. Fits any size tire width, skinny roady tires to fat 3 inch width. Fits all kinds of bicycles, from women, kids, hybrids and road bikes to monster downhill and freeride mountain bikes - all with no adapters necessary.

Yakima HighRoller attaches directly to both Yakima base rack round cross bars and Thule square load bars. Also mounts to factory roof rack cross bars when used in combination with a set of either the Yakima Universal Mighty Mounts or Yakima Horizontal MightyMounts.

Comments about Yakima Racks High Roller Upright Mount:

This mount is great for bikes with disc brakes. I hate taking the wheel off and risking the caliper closing. No need to mess around with this rack. just put the bike on and go...

Did I mention that this thing is strong.

Okay first things first. I actually forgot about it and drove into my garage w/ my baby on top. Never thought I'd be that dumb! I was going slow but the rack absorbed a lot of the hit. My bike only suffered minor damage and the rack just needed to be tweaked a little but just like a Timex it keeps on tickin'.

The only drawbacks are that my bike wiggles a little bit more then I'd like (as every rack does) and it's pretty heavy. Yeah I'll buy another one.

For slow minded people like myself, I suggest placing a rubber band around the garage remote button when the bikes on top - can't forget that way!

Comments about Yakima Racks High Roller Upright Mount:

nice design. holds bike quickly and securely. Way better than their older designs and sturdier too! three nitpicky design flaws: when properly mounted on crossbars it sits at a tilted angle compared to my sprocketrocket-makes the setup look goofy. #2) to really lock this securely you must buy one of those extra lock housings for the back bolt. #3) design traps water and snow /ice in the tire trench. I will drill my own drainage hole. these are minor grievances- I definitely will buy again.

Comments about Yakima Racks High Roller Upright Mount:

I wanted this product becaue I needed to put the bikes on top of my truck, sometimes with kayaks while pulling a camper. It is easy to get the bikes on the rack from the sides with a small two step ladder. It works well with the kayak stacker, and the bikes don't scratch each other like on a rear mount rack. I have only used it with mountain bike tires, but even though the width is wide enough for those, I think the system would also work well for the road tires.
