The first time i set up the hammock the strap busted off and i fell on a rock. I was sore, but i think i just got a faulty set of straps. The straps are considerably lighter and easier to throw in a pack for a quick adventure. I got a new set and i'm excited to keep them as long as they stay intact.

At first glance these straps do not look substantial enough to hold up anything but after many uses I have found that they hold up even better than they say. Once I have my hammock hung I can still hang my pack, laundry, lantern, everything from the straps. They are very light and can even be rolled up in your hammock.
