The River Gorge Race covers the Mullens Cove Loop in the Prentice-Cooper Wilderness Management Area on Signal Mountain, bordering Chattanooga, TN. The trail boasts incredible bluff views of the Cumberland Plateau and an incredibly varied landscape, making this a great race for both the leisurely and competitive trail runner.

The Chickamauga Chase Trail Race will be the first trail race to happen in association with the popular road race. 2013 will be the 45th running of the road race, and Wild Trails, Rock/Creek and the Chattanooga Track Club have partnered to add a trail option this year. We hope to make this an annual event with the support of the running community and park officials.
Scenic City Trail Marathon & Half Marathon
May 18, 2013
26 mile / 13 mile
Visit race page for registration status
Rock/Creek's Scenic City Trail Marathon is the largest trail marathon in the Southeast, taking place on the fast, hard-packed dirt mountain bike trails of TVA's Raccoon Mountain. Starting on a short section of road to thin out the pack of 500+ runners, the race course is almost completely singletrack, with rolling hills, many twists and turns, some excellent views of the Tennessee River and plenty of rocks and roots along the way.
This course is flatter and smoother than many of the rugged, rocky local trails used in our other Salomon Rock/Creek Trail Series races -- "Flat for Southeastern Tennessee," we like to say -- making the Scenic City Trail Marathon a great choice for road marathoners wanting to try a trail marathon, or experienced trail runners in the hunt for a new PR.
Chattanooga Mountains Stage Race

The Chattanooga Mountains Stage Race is three exciting days of trail running in the beautiful mountains surrounding Chattanooga. This challenging -- yet attainable -- series includes 18 miles on Raccoon Mountain for Day 1, 22 miles on Lookout Mountain for Day 2, and a 20-mile grand finale on Signal Mountain. We recommend staying at The Crash Pad, and refueling each night at one of Chattanooga’s great eateries.

Half Marathon / 10k

The Rock/Creek Still Hollow Trail Race takes place at the densely-forested Enterprise South Nature Park in Chattanooga, which offers plenty of shade for a hot August morning. The half marathon and 10k races start simultaneously on the wide, rolling pedestrian trails within the park; as the shorter distance concludes, the half-marathon runners will take to non-technical singletrack to finish their race. These are fast and friendly trails, making this race a great choice for those new to trail running.

Taking place on a beautiful dirt-packed trail with Tennessee mountain stone thrown in -- and with a 5000+ ft. elevation gain -- the Rock/Creek StumpJump 50k benefits Wild Trails for trail access and maintenance efforts in the Chattanooga area. Looking for a shorter race on the same beautiful trail? You're in luck! There will be an 11-mile course offered as well.
Upchuck 50k

Visit race page for registration status
Wild Trails and Rock/Creek present the UPCHUCK 50K. This minimally-supported event consists of a point-to-point trail that runs entirely on the technically challenging single track of the Cumberland Trail. This course has huge climbs and huge descents into Soddy Creek, Possum Creek and Rock Creek. It will, without a doubt, go down in the race log as one of the best 50k courses you will ever do. Please do not attempt this run as your first 50K. This is a serious endeavor and will quite possibly be your slowest 50k to date. Let us reiterate: this is seriously difficult.
