The River Gorge Trail Race utilizes the Cumberland Trail in Prentice-Cooper WMA. This all-singletrack loop boasts fantastic bluff views of the Tennessee River Gorge -- it's popular with first-timers and competitive racers alike.
Rock/Creek's Scenic City Trail Marathon is the largest trail marathon in the Southeast, using the fast, hard-packed trails of TVA's Raccoon Mountain. Not too much elevation gain, but plenty of rocks & roots along the way!
The Thunder Rock 100 is a point-to-point, 100-mile trail race run entirely within the Cherokee National Forest in Tennessee. This is a challenging course, featuring over 16,000 feet of climbing and incredibly scenic terrain.
