The 10.4 Marathon Sport Dry Rope by Sterling is a dynamic rope made to be used and abused with countless days of attempting your redpoint project, long, fast multi-pitch routes or climbing Half Dome in a day. Whatever your adventure the 10.4 Marathon will stand up to those inevitable falls, and over-the-rock abrasion with durability and endurance.

Named the Marathon for a reason, it is constructed with a beefy core and sheath, yet is super lightweight and easy to handle, giving it the ability to last longer than most ropes on the market.

The 10.4 Marathon Sport Dry Rope also is made with their proprietary DryCore technology, that will help maintain the original strength and elongation of your rope in wet or icy conditions. All of Sterling's ropes are treated with DryCore but dry treated ropes then go through a process to treat the sheath and in turn also treats the core again. According to Kurt Smith, Sterling's rep, "This is a pain staking process - we double dip the rope and do the treatment twice to really get it to bond to the nylon.."
