The Super Makalu Ergometric Soft Antishock System Trekking pole by LEKI is equipped with the SAS system (Soft Antishock System).  This is an internal spring system that has the perfect combination of steel spring and elastomer, for a quiet ride and less rebound,  which makes for reduced stress on the joints, muscles and ligaments - a major benefit.
