PETZL BASIC ASCENDER

Light and compact, the Petzl Basic Ascender is often carried by climbers and mountaineers for emergency use. This versatile rope clamp/grab can be used in a wide variety of situations: anti-slip device in a hauling system, rope climbing, self belaying on a fixed rope. The Basic Ascender features the same tenacious cam as the Ascension Handled Ascender.
