The Hammerhead™ 2 Tent by Mountain Hardwear is their best selling 2 person camping tent for warm weather. The Hammerhead is a free-standing tent with a convertible roof panel that opens to reveal the stars, and two huge vestibules for storage. Mesh windows roll back for additional venting. Three Atlas 7001 poles hold it all together.

Guaranteed watertight construction with a fully taped fly, taped perimeter seam, welded corners and welded guy clip anchors, and they can ensure its waterproof due to their 24 hours of testing in MHW's rain room using 1200” of rain.  The Atlas 7001™ pole system is strong, lightweight, durable, resistant to corrosion and dents, and is easy to service by hand in the field.  The Hammerhead also has superlight buckles and webbing to  help reduce the tent weight, and for awesome convenience there are reflective guy-out loops, starter points and zipper pulls for easy set-up at night.

There is a large mesh area for maximum ventilation when needed, but can also be covered with a zippered roll-back sky panel for protection and privacy.  A high ceiling for extra head room, and two large canopy doors with dual slider zippers are available for easy entry.
