The Bluewater 9.7 Lighting Pro Rope is the ideal rope to carry with you in alpine climbing, mountaineering or fast and light ascents.  With very low bulk you can easily clip and go, without feeling the weight of a bigger rope underneath you.  The best climbing ropes balance the following characteristics: light weight, low impact force, durability and superb handling characteristics because BlueWater starts with the finest nylon fiber available and process it from start to finish. BlueWater uses the Duration Thermal Stabilization (DTS) process (where the nylon undergoes the critical heat treatment) is so precise, it allows for a better balanced rope.

Some of the ropes are listed as having a Double-Dry treatment, which is applied to each individual fiber in the sheath and core. Double-Dry allows just 11% water absorbtion (compared to the standard 20% - 30%) so your rope remains light and flexible under adverse conditions. Double-Dry also increases rope longevity and is an option on all of our dynamic cords.
