The Player Whitewater Paddle with Fiberglass blade from Werner: If you want play features but don't want to be overwhelmed by big blades, the Player is an excellent choice. This paddle offers all the advantages of down turned blades while reduced blade area creates a gentler stroke that enables anyone to "play." This paddle is recommended for a wide range of playboaters.
Available in both standard diameter and small diameter shafts. Also, Werner's Player paddle is available in two shaft types, Straight or Neutral Bent Shaft. Both have their advantages:
Paddlers are more familiar with straight shafts and like the light weight and ability to move their hands along a predictable, straight, and continuous grip area. Straight shafts are typically less expensive.
The Werner Neutral Bent Shaft naturally aligns your wrist to reduce stress on joints. The neutral alignment, unique to Werner Paddles, creates a stable leverage point for bracing and all types of paddle strokes. Special indexing allows more hand contact with the shaft, reducing fatigue and increasing comfort.
