PETZL SPIRIT BENT GATE CARABINER

The Spirit by Petzl was the first carabiner that Petzl made. Constructed of forged Zicral aluminum which yields a 9.5 kN open gate strength (compared to 6-8 kN of similar light carabiners), the Spirit is particularly light and strong. The Keylock gate system means no snagged ropes or slings and more gate strength. Ideal for use in quickdraws, the Spirit is available in both a straight and bent gate.

The Keylock anti-snag gate:
All Petzl carabiners are fitted with the patented anti-snag Keylock concept, which makes it very easy to clip. The Keylock is a notch-free gate closing system. It eliminates the need for a notch on the nose of the carabiner, which can snag on ropes, webbing and bolt hangers on steep sport routes ...most annoying.
