Compact and lightweight, the Petzl Myolite 3 Headlamp is just as perfect for mountaineering as it is for running. It allows you to switch between a powerful Xenon halogen bulb and a 3 LED array, which offers up to 120 hours of light duration. The two light sources of the Myolite 3 allow the lighting to be better adapted to conditions: the three LEDs provide a wide beam for proximity lighting and ensure a long burn time, while the xenon halogen bulb provides powerful, focused distance lighting. The Myolite 3 has a bezel for adjusting the beam which also serves as an on-off switch

Comments about Petzl Myolite 3 Headlamp:
This is the best headlamp I have found for running. In 100 mile races you often end up running through the night, and in order to not lose time fumbling around on the trails you need a light that is bright enough to keep you moving quickly--even on technical terrain. It is also important to have comfortable and light device because any added weight gets old when you are on your feet for 24 hours. The Myolite fits the bill well and I have used it running, bike commuting, around camp, or even for a backwoods disco.

Comments about Petzl Myolite 3 Headlamp:
If you need a strong light but need to conserve batteries for the long haul then this is the light for you. The LED setting will go all night on a single set of batteries, but having the Xenon bulb will get you out of a jam when necessary.
