The Petzl Locker Screw-Lock Carabiner is a 'biner with an asymmetrical design that allows for a wide opening so you can use when climbing, caving and canyoning. The Locker Screw-Lock is super compact and very lightweight at 2.2 oz, so it's easy to carry on your harness and when using its easy to see when you don't have the lock closed with a red color at the tip of the gate.
The locking device is manual, allowing you to easily get it open and closed.

I actually use these for caving, where much of the rigging is to bolts with lociking carabiners. The large opening of the asymmetrical "D" shape is excellent. Most importantly, like all of the Petzl SL (Screw-Lock) carabiners, the locking sleeve itself is very tough and easy to grip with gloves on, or with mud/ice/etc on the carabiner.
These haven't been out that long, but already they've held up better than the carabiners I own from other manufacturers. The caving environment is tough on hardware, with lots of abrasive grit and lots of water; these are my #1 choice for rigging. I've basically stopped using anything else. Not the lightest carabiner in the world, but the best D-shape for rigging that I've found.

This biner is great for for anchoring. The screw gate is very dependable with it's red warning indicator. Not to mention the LARGE gate opening!! The strength....well lets put it like this I picked up a Toyota Tecoma with this biner. Any more questions?
