The Petzl Elios Helmet for 2007 is a new and improved version with sleeker looks, more colors, but still as light as ever! Anyone who climbs, should have a helmet. More than most sports, climbing has many variables that put your head in danger - rock falling from above, bad whippers that flip you upside down, and even belaying under roofs or on multi pitch routes. If you do not have a helmet or don't wear one because they are too cumbersome or heavy, well your excuses are over.
The Elios Helmet is about .8 lbs - which is super lightweight, and Petzl added ten ventilation holes to keep you cool and comfy. Durable for all sorts of impacts, with an expanded polypropylene foam liner for great shock absorption, and an injection molded polycarbonate shell for wear and tear.
Just 1 single adjustment gets the helmet tight and the chin strap position can slide forward or backward for accurate fitting.
No more one size fits all helmets that leaves empty space and a wobbly feel, now there are two sizes (#1-#2) in order to precisely fit your head and keep you ultra safe.

Comments about Petzl Elios Helmet:
After putting this helmet thru the ringer on many caving trips, it is holding its own ground. Lightweight, but can take a licking. Comfortable, but can still sense the security. Highly recommended
