The durable women's Ultralight Down Jacket is built with Patagonia's lightest-weight nylon fabric and 800-fill goose down for compressible warmth on cool days; a slim silhouette provides thermal efficiency.

Minimalism, pared down a little further, the Ultralight Down Jacket features top-notch 800-fill-power premium European goose down and a special edition nylon ripstop shell fabric that is half the weight and has twice the strength of Patagonia's other down shell fabrics. The sewn-through construction, tight channel pattern and just the right amount of down increase versatility for use in more moderate temperatures and diverse activities; a Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) finish sheds snow. A slim silhouette maximizes thermal efficiency and suits its ideal uses: belay parka over light layers at shady autumn crags, minimalist summer alpine bivies and unmatched warmth layered under a shell. Pockets include: two zippered handwarmers and one zippered chest. A drawcord hem helps keep in the heat. Stuff sack included.

Comments about Patagonia Ultralight Down Jacket (Women's):

Great color (platinum) keeps you warm when it's freezing out but yet on those not so cool days you don't ever heat. Love that it's packable, hang it off a backpack when you don't need it.

      Pros

      • Longer Length
      • Slim fit
      • Stuff sack
      • Super Light
      • Ultra-compact

      Cons

      • Down shows thru

      Best Uses

      • Around town
      • Climbing layer

Comments about Patagonia Ultralight Down Jacket (Women's):

I use this as a versatile climbing, layering, and all around piece. The slim fit is a longer cut (than the Down Sweater, for example). This allows it to go under your harness and stay under it while you move through climbs. It's also thin, so you not feel bulky and like you can't move. Great for layering with a rain jacket/outer shell for wind/water protection. This is also great just to wear around town as it doens't look too technical.

      • Q:

How does the size run compared to the "down sweater jacket?" Does it run smaller or the same?

          A:

The Ultralight Down Jacket is a slim-fit style, whereas the regular Down Sweater has a regular fit. These do run a bit smaller, so you may need to size up unless you find the regular version to be slightly roomy.
