Ultralight Down Hoody (Men's)
Product Number: 32122
The men's Ultralight Down Hoody is built with Patagonia's lightest-weight nylon fabric and highly compressible 800-fill goose down for chilly, year-round pursuits; a slim silhouette provides thermal efficiency under a shell or as a stand-alone layer.
Patagonia's designers pulled a page from the official warmth-to-weight-ratio field guide to make the Ultralight Down Hoody. Top-notch 800-fill-power premium European goose down traps heat and the special edition nylon ripstop shell fabric, the lightest we've ever used for down, is half the weight and has twice the strength of Patagonia's other down shell fabrics. The sewn-through construction, tight channel pattern and just the right amount of down increase versatility for use in more moderate temperatures and diverse activities; a Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) finish sheds snow. The slim silhouette (and low-profile, adjustable hood) maximizes thermal efficiency and suits its ideal uses: belay parka over light layers at shady autumn crags, minimalist summer alpine bivies and unmatched warmth layered under a shell. Pockets include: two zippered handwarmers and one zippered chest. A drawcord hem helps keep in the heat. Stuff sack included.

Comments about Patagonia Ultralight Down Hoody (Men's):
This is a great jacket. I love it. It is athletic cut so if your gut is bigger than your chest pick something else. It is a perfect outter layer around town and probably a good outerlayer for a belay with just a single layer under. I would be careful using it as an outter layer in rough terrain, sharp rocks, bushwacking, etc.
Pros
- Compactable
- Lightweight
- Sharp looking
- Super warm
- Versitile
Cons
Best Uses
- Around town
- Hiking
- Layering systems
- Ultralight backpacking
Comments about Patagonia Ultralight Down Hoody (Men's):
Patagonia is starting a new age of down. No longer does a nice down jacket have to be associated with the Michelin man. This jacket is warm enough for cold weather excursions yet cool enough that you won't roast when wearing during more active times. It layers great under rain jackets or over sweat shirts. The hood traps in so much heat and is like a pillow surrounding you. And the included stuff sack that it packs into, it's riduculously small. It is so nice to have a fleece alternative to throw on.
Pros
- Great feel
- Light Weight
- Warm
Cons
Best Uses
- Cold weather
- Snow sports
Comments about Patagonia Ultralight Down Hoody (Men's):
This is a great jacket alone or as a layer for any cold weather condition.
