Torrentshell Jacket (Men's)
Product Number: 32113
Pared-down and packable, the men's Patagonia Torrentshell is a no-frills, 2.5-layer H2No waterproof/breathable hard shell for seriously wet weather.
Tropical rainforests share at least one thing with the Patagonia Ice Cap: wet weather. For trekking and hiking in drenching conditions, Patagonia's Torrentshell Jacket provides 2.5-layer waterproof/breathable protection that's durable, lightweight and simple. The nylon jacket has a Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) finish and stuffs into one of two zippered handwarmer pockets (with a clip-in loop); the hood rolls down, stows away, and has a laminated visor; and the center zipper has exterior and interior storm flaps. With pit zips for added ventilation, a microfleece-lined neck and chin, and a drawcord hem.

Great jacket, got it on sale. Wore it once so far during pouring rain right before the St. Patty's day parade out here, and I was 100% dry.

Comments about Patagonia Torrentshell Jacket (Men's):
In addition to the zipper in front, there are velcro strips that enable you to close the front of the jacket very quickly instead of zipping for that quick jaunt to the mailbox or to retreive the newspaper. Very lightweight and seems to shed water the way it is suppossed to although i have not worn in a real soaker - yet! Many vibrant colors available. A winner thus far!

Bought the Men's Pomegranate Torrentshell Jacket in small and love it! The color is great! Sleeve and torso lengths are perfect - I find women's clothing runs a bit short.

Comments about Patagonia Torrentshell Jacket (Men's):
On a trip to the Isle of Skye I wore my jacket on several trail running adventures. The pit zips are excellent at keeping cool. The hood fits well over a baseball cap. I have bought Patagonia for 20 years, this is the best product for the dollar amount. I'm heading to UTMB this month, this jacket will be my first choice for touring the Alps.

If you are looking for a great, lightweight rain shell that offers features usually found in more expensive shells, check this one out, it's a great choice!

Comments about Patagonia Torrentshell Jacket (Men's):
Patagonia has out done themselves. They have made an affordable rain jacket that looks, performs, and feels better than others in this price range.
I opened up the jacket and compared the taped seam detail to other jackets and the Torrentshell is clean, well constructed and has minimal seams. Most jackets of this 2.5 layer construction delaminate in the collar from body oils and sweat, but they have put a protective microfleece in the collar to protect that from happening. It's a perfect rainjacket and I know I'm getting quality from patagonia.
