The Tech Web Belt by Patagonia is a burly web belt with an aluminum buckle designed to help crack a beverage after a long day.
Patagonia's Tech Web Belt provides a confidence-inspiring hold when you have to dash to catch the 6:40 out of Bozeman. The forged aluminum buckle is lightweight and strong and cinches tight for a reliable hitch; it's also handy as a bottle opener at the end of a hot day. The 1.5-inch-wide nylon webbing endures abuse and dries quickly.

Excellent belt and buckle, solid, understated and stylish. This belt is 1.5" wide, not 1" wide as stated. That actually makes it much more attractive and comfortable, but if your pants/shorts have skinny loops you could have trouble fitting the belt through.

It looks good and I expect that it will always look good, but I like it because it is infinitely adjustable. It is now my favorite belt - and I've never had a favorite belt before.

The first thing worth noting is that this belt is more substantial than it looks. That it is to say that the belt is wider than the image makes it seem. This is a good thing. So for your jeans or Patagonia Duck Pants, this belt will fill the loops perfectly. It reminds me of the old D-ring belts I used to wear as a kid.
I use my belt for everyday use. I dress casually day in and day out. I like this belt for its simplicity. It's not overdesigned, it goes with everything, and it is very well made which means it will be durable. This makes the minimal style more beneficial because this belt will last for years and never go out of style.
For me, this belt doesn't really have any drawbacks. If I had to pick something to criticize I would say that the buckle takes a little getting used to. After a couple times you don't have to think about it anymore. And hey, if you ever need to apply a tourniquet this is the perfect belt to do it.
