The Women's Rain Shadow Jacket by Patagonia is full-coverage, lightweight rainwear with exceptional moisture management, the Rain Shadow Jacket is built with 2.5-layer nylon with an H2No barrier for high-output pursuits in wet conditions.

Alaska, Canada, Seattle, South America: one jacket. Patagonia's lightweight and stormproof Rain Shadow keeps you dry and mobile through all wet climates. Its unique raised pattern on the inside diffuses and channels moisture away from skin, aids in hassle-free layering, and enhances long-term durability. The tear-resistant, lightweight 2.5-layer 100% nylon fabric also has a waterproof/breathable H2No barrier and a Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) finish. Details include: Deluge DWR-coated zippers to eliminate the need for storm flaps; a 2-way front zip; microfleece lining on the neck and chin; waterproof handwarmer pockets with zipper garages; a roll-down, 2-way-adjustable helmet-compatible hood, self-fabric cuff tabs and a drawcord hem.

Great jacket overall, it runs a little large but that is best. Room to move around and wearing over a fleece vest is perfect. Color is beautiful

Comments about Patagonia Rain Shadow Jacket (Women's) - 2008:

I used this in Seattle for a few days over the winter. It worked great in the rain & cold wind. I purchased a small (I'm a size 0, 5'8" 110 lbs) and found it a tad big, but didn't feel like going through the returns process because it fits well enough. Next time I'll get an XS in Patagonia.
