For those women who live for the beauty of unencumbered, human-powered motion, the women's Patagonia Nine Trails Jacket provides support, minimal weight and wind resistance. It's made of tough nylon with extremely breathable, stretch-woven, all-recycled polyester fabric in the back and underarm panels to vent excess heat. The high-rise, tricot-lined neck, easily pushed-up elastic cuffs and drawcord hem seal out chilly weather; a Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) finish sheds light rain. This running jacket now has a streamlined, articulated fit and shaped cuff covers to protect the top of your hands on pre-dawn runs. A handy rear-zippered pocket allows you to stuff and stash the shell for convenient storage. Reflective logos (on the front and back) keep you visible.

Comments about Nine Trails Jacket (Women's) New:

I've had Patagonia's Women's Nine Trails Jacket for about a year and LOVE it! It is ultra lightweight and packs into an internal chest pocket which I can stash in my fanny pack. It's treated with Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) so it sheds light rain and it's a great wind buffer. I love the stretch panel on the back and at the forearms because the jacket has a fitted look but is still comfortable. I also like that the collar, which stands up when I zip the jacket all the way up, has a soft lining that feels nice next to my skin. My favorite non-function specific element of the Nine Trail is the color. It's a lovely soft sky blue that always makes me feel light and springy when I head out for a run.

Comments about Nine Trails Jacket (Women's) New:

This jacket is great for running in a variety of cool to cold temperatures. It is very lightweight and breathable for a shell, but the front is wind and water proof/resistant. Also, there is room for various weights of base layer underneath. This means that if it is just windy and cool you can wear a dri-fit t-shirt underneath, but if it is freezing cold you could put a light dri-fit/wool tee and a 260 weight piece of wool base layer under it and be quite comfortable. I've used it under both sets of conditions and been very pleased with the performance. In rain, it keeps you from getting soaked without stifling you and it cuts the wind without causing you to overheat. The only thing I don't love is that you can't push the sleeves up as high as I would like because they are tapered and elasticized to stay put when you do push them up. Sometimes its a good feature, but if I overdressed it can be annoying. Overall, I really like the jacket and even enjoy wearing it around in warmer weather as casual piece because of its light weight.

      • Q:

        Hi,
I would like to kindly ask you if it would be possible to measure the sleeve length for the sizes M and L for me as I am not sure which size to pick. (I am slim, 71in tall with long arms :-) and am not sure if M is sufficient for me.)

        Thanks a lot!

          A:

Sorry for the delay! I measured both for you. The sleeve length on the M is about 25.5" long; on the L is about 26.5" long. That's from the shoulder seam to the tip of the wrist cuff.
