Whether you're rolling on endless singletrack or on a long alpine scramble, Patagonia's lightweight Nine Trails Jacket for men keeps pace. It now features a more articulated fit, and is made of tough and wind-resistant 1.1-oz. 100% nylon, with extremely breathable stretch-woven recycled polyester fabric in the back and underarm panels to vent excess heat. A slightly dropped tail and extended back-of-hand cuffs provide extra coverage when needed. The high-rise, tricot-lined neck and elastic-bound drawcord hem seal out chilly weather; a Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) finish sheds light rain. The running jacket stuffs into its center back zippered pocket (with clip-in loop). With reflective logos on the front and back.

Great lightweight shell for both running and cycling. Perfect for "suspect" weather conditions because its easy to stuff in a pocket and drys out quickly. Very comfortable.

Comments about Nine Trails Jacket (Men's):

This is a must have jacket for running, hiking, or any outdoor activity. It's lightweight and will compress to fit anywhere. It's wind resistant, water repellent, and very breathable.

This jacket saved me a few days ago when I got caught in a rain/lightning storm on Raccoon Mtn. here in Chattanooga. As the storm rolled overhead, I waited it out under a picnic table shelter. Thank goodness, I had stuffed my Nine Trails jacket into my hydration pack before the run! It was my saving grace as it protected me from the bone chilling wind and rain.

The fit of this jacket is also excellent - very streamline (not baggy at all) and comfortable for all activities.

          I'm 5'9" and 145 lbs. and wear a Small.

Comments about Nine Trails Jacket (Men's):

The Nine Trails Jacket lives on my floor right next to my trail shoes. In the winter time, it goes on the body for almost every trail run. The lightweight fabric is highly breathable, repels water and fits into your back pocket with ease. I love the stretch woven fabric on the back. It really creates more mobility in the garment and helps it to breathe. Don't leave home without it!

Comments about Nine Trails Jacket (Men's):

I trail run in this jacket all the time. When the wind is cold and the ambient temperature is mild this jacket will keep your body temp just right. If you misjudge the weather it stuffs down very small into itself and will fit into any pocket easily.

Comments about Patagonia Nine Trails Jacket (Men's) - 2008:

I've looked for many years to find the perfect piece to throw in the pack for long runs in variable weather. Patagonia's Nine Trails Jacket is finally the solution. It's super lightweight and compressible, and it easily fits inside a small race-day hip pack leaving plenty of room for gels, blister packs and other necessities. However, I was most impressed with its performance. It has a comfortable fit, but is sleek enough to not get whipped around in the wind, and the longer cut in the back keeps the jacket from riding up when wearing any sort of backpack. When caught out in a thunderstorm or gusty winds the jacket keeps my body temperature right where it should be with its combination of breathability and and protection from the elements. In the middle of the night as temperatures dropped at last years Wasatch 100, I threw on the Nine Trails as I headed up out of the Brighton Ski Area. The jacket performed so well that I never even noticed that I had it on and was able to cruise through the remaining aid stations and finish strong, as other runners had to stop and warm up with hot soup.

All in all, the Nine Trails is light enough to include in an adventure of a few hours and protective enough to include in longer excursions. It is a must have for any runner, hiker, biker or any one else who doesn't let weather get in the way of a great day (or night!) on the trails.
