The Women's Nano Storm Jacket by Patagonia is a superlight, waterproof, insulated jacket built with PrimaLoft One insulation and an H2No barrier for climbing endeavors where cold and wet go hand-in-hand.

Ice routes in Norway and sleet-storm belays in Newfoundland: If cold and wet are on the agenda, pack the Nano Storm. It pairs top-notch PrimaLoft One insulation with a waterproof/breathable H2No barrier, bonded to the nylon ripstop shell with a Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) finish, doing double-duty to keep you warm in even the most drenching, frigid conditions. The fully adjustable, helmet-compatible hood has a laminated visor to help you see through the tempest. The jacket's cuffs seal with self-fabric hook-and-loop closures, and a dual-adjust drawcord hem cinches tight to help keep your heat in. Pockets: two handwarmers, one left chest, one internal (all zippered) and one drop-in.

Comments about Patagonia Nano Storm Jacket (Women's):

I purchased this as a gift for my daughter for the holidays. I was a little surprised when I received it that it was so lightweight and concerned that it would fit the bill. She wanted a moisture resistant coat that would also add warmth. This one is perfect. I had ordered another from a major name brand, and to my surprise, she wanted this one and mostly because of the length in the back. Pleasantly pleased!!

Comments about Patagonia Nano Storm Jacket (Women's):

Love this jacket, it's windproof and waterproof! I'm kept warm without having to wear a ton of clothes underneath. Hence, not having to look like I've added a few pounds. It very comfortable to wear because a I can move my arms and reach for things without feeling constricted.

Comments about Patagonia Nano Storm Jacket (Women's):

Great Jacket! wear this while out and about, or gettin' down and dirty while shoveling the drive. Very versatile and stylish at the same time. Warm enough on a breezy, rainy fall day, or layered with nano-puff hoody when it gets colder out. A definite keeper!

            A:

It's hard to quantify in writing, so let me put it this way: since the Nano Storm is basically like a Nano Puff with a Torrentshell outer shell fabric, it's MORE packable than carrying those two pieces separately but slightly LESS packable than carry one of the two individually. It's definitely a good alternative if you don't have a need to carry separate insulating and waterproof pieces. Hope that helps!
