There's much to see 14,000 feet up at the Chasm View bivy: a vertigo-inducing panorama of the Diamond and alpenglow over the Rockies. There's also chilly air in any season, and that's where the Women's Down Sweater by Patagonia comes in. It delivers minimal weight, superb compressibility and high-loft warmth. The ripstop shell with a Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) finish does more than look sharp: it's tear-resistant and windproof and made from 100% recycled polyester. Details include top-quality 800-fill-power goose down, an updated fit and styling, quilted-through construction, two exterior zippered pockets and a stretch-mesh interior chest pocket that doubles as a zippered stuff sack with carabiner clip-in loop.

It's just a great all around jacket for cold/cool climates; it goes over slim fitting and all my cashmere sweaters. It goes to lunch and dinner, and it went to Mexico for the Holidays, where, although it was hot in the day time, it was cool at night. It was perfect, and not too bulky for the plane; I could stuff it into my carry on!

Comments about Patagonia Down Sweater (Women's) - 2008:
This jacket is so light and warm and cute!!! The only drawback is that it runs very large. I normally wear a small and I got the extra small and it is still big on me. Definitely order at least one size smaller than you usually wear. Other than that, it is the best!

Comments about Patagonia Down Sweater (Women's) - 2008:
I have a ton of North Face Jackets and have had them for years, in fact I swear about them.... but everyone talked so highly about this jacket so I ordered one. BEST JACKET EVER. I wear it out to dinner, to class, to work, to babysit, to hike, and anywhere else I go. I got it in a neutral color (brown which isn't in season now).... I get tons of compliments from other people. My mom liked mine so much that she went out and bought one for herself! If you are debating purchasing this jacket, it is definitely worth it!

Comments about Patagonia Down Sweater (Women's) - 2008:
I use this down sweater as a light fall jacket, or under a coat when the winter starts.
it is colourful and makes me happy, I feel sporty and smart....It is a bit big in seize,I could have done with a M, but the chest seize was to small.

I love the warmth without the bulk. I have long arms so end up with naked wrists with many jackets but not this one!

Comments about Patagonia Down Sweater (Women's) - 2008:
I am usually a medium across the board, so I ordered a medium (5'3'' and about 125lbs). It was too big in the chest, waist, and arms. I exchanged it for a small and I am very pleased with the fit of the chest, waist, and length, but the sleeves are still a bit on the baggy side. I think that is just the way they fit though. The coat's lines are very flattering. I bought this coat in the summer on sale, but I expect to use it for Fall and mild winter weather. It would not be good for wet or windy weather (like all down products). But being down it is very light, but surprisingly warm for its weight.

Comments about Patagonia Down Sweater (Women's) - 2008:
So many styles of tops and jackets are so long in the torso that they are not attractive for normal sized women. This jacket is perfect and looks good on shorter and normal torso'd ladies. It's very cozy to wear and I don't get too hot or too cold. Love the fact that I can stuff it to a small compact size for travel, backpacks etc.

Comments about Patagonia Down Sweater (Women's) - 2008:
This down sweater was purchased for a trip to the Canadian Rockies in July. I couldn,t wait for those cool nights to show off my beautiful blue jacket. Temperatures were in the 90's, but I HAD to wear it to have a photo on the glacier. It was easy to pack and look forward to some cooler trips.
